New Word? Scuck?!
This morning, 9:36 a.m., I invented a new word...wel, sorta. While
joking with Ms. Theo about how she had 'overcooked' the biscuits, my
mind and tongue waged war between two verbal choices. What was released
and heard was this, "Well, You sure scucked those up!"
Scuck : new word for the day. a somewhat endearing expletive expression whose meaning resides somewhere between *uck and screw. scucked: past tense of scuck.
Maybe I'm working too much...

What will you do for Halloween? Do you loath it or love it?

Another Monica Moment
These lines over at Traces offered me provocation to ponder: "And the times I'm living now will one day be gone, too. "
and I would add...Making way for the wonders of yet-to-be. A being,
that though as often harsh as gentle, is being nonetheless. And what is
our precarious journey but one of being? From here, looking into your
heart, yours is a being of beauty. I wish you peace for the passing of
time.
As for me, I received news yesterday that my family has decided to
sell, in fact has sold, the motel property at the "beach." It is a
bitter-sweet passing of the batton for me. My childhood completely
revovled around the 'motel.' It is the place where I worked, played,
grew, experimented... I was always, at more core, the guy who worked at
the motel. I had SO many firsts there that i will not recount them, but
it was the hub of my life for my formative years. I will miss it. The
new owners will doze the buildings and make room for a highrise and
parking garage. So, time moves on.
I have strong feelings of loss, and settling streams of rightness. This is.

Feel
Feel...your breath
Feel...your strength
Feel...your tension
Feel...your breath
Feel...your pulse
Feel...your heart
Feel...your thoughts
...slipping away into stillness, making room for today so you can
Feel you.

Feeling Seasonal?
I'm feeling a little bit seasonal so I thought I'd share some of the spirit here.
I've just returned from a trip with Ms. Theo. We attended the Florida
State -vs- Virginia football game in Tallahassee. Ms. Theo is a
graduate of FSU, and I'm a self professing Florida State fan. We were
very pleased with the out come of the game: FSU 36, Va 3.
I took some pictures, and will share a few of those in another post.
There is a very good chance that we may 'retire' to Tallahassee, Fl.
one day. This trip was one of several fact and idea gathering trips we
plan to make over the next few years. More on that later.

a question? a dare?
To You Momentary Reader...
And, what pray tell, what thoughts dance into your mind, amid the
shadows of twilight, in that space when the day's tension gives way to
the night's ease, what thoughts churn within you?
What specters dance upon your chosen life, and sing songs of angst, begging to be free?
Dare you pause here and answer this query?

New Camera
Mama Spider
One of my first tries at digital photography was Saturday morning. The
mist of the early day hung in the air, as did this little aracnid.
