She Lives, Craves...
There it is. I feel it again, abiding within the core of my being,
pulsing as familiar as my own skin, a touch of melancholy rhythm. My
days are mostly filled with the enjoyment of work, meals and exchanges
with my family, and little time for the in-depth reflection that was my
way, and bane, for years. Perhaps I use to ponder too much. Could not
there be waste in the continuous expression of mood and feeling?
Yet, today, these days, I feel it crawling beneath, that streaming of
angst laced with desire, a never forgiving longing that beckons for
expression, being. She, yes she, for in it’s animistic way she is known
to me as passion, lust, primeval cravings – so basic is she that
nothing but the near cessation of life would dampen her touch upon my
very soul. She is my muse. Curious, eternally curious, how this
dissatisfaction presses for expression. Why might the source of my
creative motivation so often be longing, unquenched passion?
It matters not. Come, my delicate pain. Let us rest here and tell me more of our woes and the dancing of angels and serpents.

Dome, dome, dome, dome...DOME!
One of my favorite Southern expressions is “A while back….” It's use is
wonderfully ambiguous, and although some might find it’s vagueness
irritating, clearly the intent of the seasoned spokesperson is to
simply imply, “Ahh heck, I don’t remember exactly when it was, and that
really doesn’t matter, listen to what I’m telling you. That is what is
important.”
So, a while back, my wife introduced me to the idea of Dome Houses. Today we are flying to Dallas, Texas to attend a weekend conference on construction and models of monolithic domes.
I’m due for some time off and I am very much looking forward to sharing
some time with my wife learning about something we both fancy (another
good ‘Southern’ word).
Three cheers for a long weekend!

No More Comments
I'm tired of fighting the spam bots. Today brought over 200 spam comments.
I do not have the knowledge or skill to prevent them from leaving
hundreds of spam/ad comments in my simple blog. As much as I hate to
make this choice, I am shutting down comments for the future. I hate to
be out of touch. Feel free to email me if you like.

It Is What It Is.
Sometimes I am too busy living to reflect. Now is one of those times.
What I do know is I am truly enjoying life and the things that matter
seem to be in place: recovery, family, friends, vocation, spiritual
disciplines, and play.
Just for today.
